About Empowered Fitness

Since 2013, Empowered Fitness has been helping women in Seattle achieve new levels of fitness and health. Lead personal trainer, Kate Lindsay, is an ACSM certified personal trainer, certified Pilates instructor, and TRX Suspension-certified trainer, specializing in helping women recover their fitness--no matter their current fitness level.

Empowered Fitness' mission is to help women achieve fitness (however they define it) and create a life-long, consistent relationship with physical activity. Programs are designed to fit clients' unique schedules, needs, goals, and sense of fun. Our philosophy is that anyone can take their fitness to the next level with a little bit of empathy and science.

Before beginning her formal training, Kate trained herself and her teammates on the Saint Hellions to reach their own athletic goals as banked track roller derby skaters for local league the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds. She also formally co-coached her team and Tilted Thunder's junior roller derby program for girls and young women ages 5-17.

With four years of experience training banked track roller derby skaters ages 6-46 and three years training men and women of all fitness stages, Kate has created unique programs to take roller derby skaters at all experience levels to their athletic performance goals.

Whether you like to work out in a group or on your own, indoors or out, to music or over some laughs, we can create a program that works for you.

Empowered Fitness is a wonderful, positive place to get in shape. Kate is a fantastic, supportive trainer who always pushes me to go further than I think I can go. She has been instrumental in my cross training for Roller Derby. I have increased my speed, agility and power since beginning at Empowered Fitness. After working out at Empowered Fitness for 6 months now, I’m super excited about the results I’ve seen.
